I’ve made a goal for myself to visit all 50 states and 7 continents in 13 years. Why 13 years? I’ll be turning 50 in 13 years. Fifty (plus 7) by fifty.
Mode of transportation – hybrid car. Filled up the tank before I left. $17.89
Lodging – My aunt & uncle’s house in Old Fort. Free (one of my favorite words in the English language)
Listened to – PushBlack on the drive up which can be found on Apple podcasts.
Good Eats
I found a local Cajun restaurant online that I wanted to try called The Cajun Lady. Unfortunately, it was closed when I arrived. Boo hiss. Instead, I went to The Blue Hole BBQ. The Blue Hole boasted its own homemade BBQ sauces. I tried 3 of them. They were very good; however, I am partial to white sauce which is found in my hometown. $16.00
New Pups
My cousin Rene breeds Doberman’s. They had a new litter, and I got to play with the puppies. The pups just had their ears clipped, so they had funny looking bandages on their heads. So adorable. If you’re in the market for puppies, check out Rene’s website at oldfortdobes.com.
Volunteered
Rene and her husband, Justin, are building a pole barn so they can expand the breeding business and add pet boarding. I helped level gravel. Insert flexing bicep emoji here.
Game Time!
We played Poetry for Neanderthals. My team lost.
Total cost of my trip to Old Fort, Tennessee was $33.89.
